Silent, but busy!
Hey Guys!
First off sorry for going silent on you all! I know it's been a month (if not more) since my last post! I have been super busy. Since my last post I have had 2 jobs go through production, 2 more currently in production, and another 4 in design (plus I designed a kitchen and bath for a house in the Sept. Capital Home Show at the Dulles Expo center here in DC). Needless to say I have been BUSY!

This kitchen has one of my favorite doors from Dura Supreme Custom Cabinetry- the Lyndon Door. This door has a mitered corner joints, which typically show the joint cracks in painted finishes easier. I typically don't like to use a mitered door with painted finishes, but by adding a glaze it helps hide this inherent aspect to a painted finish. Since the completion of this job, Dura has replaced the Lyndon door with the Lauren which is a french miter, and thus helping reduce the fluctuation in the joints.
This kitchen and wet bar I know I have talked about - this one was in tandem with another job while being designed, and I shared concept renders and progress (near completion) photos. Here are the professional ones! I absolutely adore the clients and this job. Something about doing custom colored wet bar with a hint of gold hardware, in the heart of Alexandria just feels oh so right! These cabinets were almost named for my clients. The door is Monterey, by Dura Supreme (and they met in Monterey, CA), and the custom color is Sherwin Williams, Anchors Aweigh (and they met in the Navy). It must have been fate!!!
