A lot of people see these DIY shows, and HGTV - first time flipper shows and think "I can do that!". Well we have one client who had that mentality with their flooring and has now been exposed to asbestos. We are renovating the kitchen and the client planned on her son demoing the flooring, and then installing new flooring for her after we were finished. Sometimes it's best to leave things to the professionals folks! This seemingly innocent wood parquet floor had been installed over 9" x 9" vinyl tiles. (Now those in the business should have alarm bells ringing right about now!) 9"x 9" vinyl tiles are a red flag for asbestos. When this client's son removed the flooring he exposed himself and the entire house to asbestos. This website gives info on what exactly it is for those who don't know: https://www.epa.gov/asbestos ......... Needless to say, we are adding asbestos abatement to our bid on this job. Despite this, the project will be nice when it's all said and done. It's my first with the cabinet line Waypoint Living Spaces, so I am excited to see how it all comes together. Waypoint is a locally made cabinet line too!!!!! https://www.waypointlivingspaces.com/

Check out their website - it's a great resource, and then touch base with me about your project :).
